1st week

1st Week done:

Our first week of lectures is over. Mark Anderson, the President of Call2All, was our speaker. Check out: call2all.org for more information on the organization that’s primary goal is to complete the Great Commission. You can also listen to this week’s teachings by Mark Anderson at:
http://call2all.org/Media/AllMedia.aspx (be warned: the teachings are super intense).
Mark spoke on a number of topics: Who we are in Christ (II Peter 1), End Times, how to live by the Spirit (Romans 8), what it really means to be a follower of Christ (this really shook us all up), and the dangers of humanism.
A great article on humanism is by Derek Prince: http://www.pastornotes.com/notes/278.pdf . If you are interested in humanism and how it relates to our particular age check out Derek’s message from 1994, it is still very much relevant.
It was a very heavy week, but one that challenged us greatly.

Tuesday was a good night. Mark held a special ministry night for us. He prayed for us to receive the Holy Spirit. What happened as he laid hands on us and prayed was amazing. I jumped to the front of the room because I was hungry for it. The Holy Spirit came crashing into the room pretty heavily. Some of us cried, some of us laughed, some laid down, some rocked, some spoke in unknown tongues, and some jerked as they were filled with the Holy Spirit. One of the students, an 18 year old from Switzerland, kneeled on the floor and cried for an hour. He later told us of how he was partying at home, came here as a last ditch effort to connect with God, and that night was the first time that he really felt God and knew that He is real (praise God).

All in all we are really enjoying our time here. I feel that the Lord has graced our class with a special bond. We seem to be getting along rather well in such a short amount of time. It’s as if the Lord is meshing us together. We are grateful to all of you for supporting us through prayer, finances and encouraging words. We can feel God’s peace in the school and in our marriage. God is good, His plans are good, and there is no better place to live than the center of His will.

Prayer requests:
1) God's grace in pur marraige
2) For guidance, that we would hear Him clearly (this Friday we pray about our outreach locations. Basically they tell us the three locations and we are given 15 minutes to hear from God).
3) Continuing hunger for Him
Thanks and God Bless
