Wow, only two weeks left!

Hello everyone,

It has been a good long while since we have updated our blog. A lot has taken place since we last wrote and I will do my best to briefly describe what has gone on. Not to mention we are almost on our way back home. We will be arriving in Torrance on the 7th of March.

We spent two weeks in the state of Mato Grosso do Sol. We spent one week in the city of Campo Grande and one week in Sidrolandia (a village of Tirena Indians).
Our week in Campo Grande was excellent. We worked with young Brazilians running a youth camp. We spent the whole week living at a school where we taught the students dances, dramas, etc. during the day and held church services at night. There were between forty and fifty young people (ages 12 to 18). The first night we saw around twenty of them recommit there lives to Christ. We had so much fun playing with the youth, practicing our Portuguese, and playing the game “Ninja.” The week culminated with an outreach in an area of Campo Grande called Jardin Noroeste. Jardin Noroeste is a poor community on the outskirts of town. We walked around and invited people of the community to watch us perform. Our friend, Pastor Raymondo, set up his truck and speakers in front of a house and the youth performed the dances and skits we taught them, and than I got to preach a salvation message. There were about 100 people that showed up for our presentation. By the end of the show we got to pray for over 30 people, mostly kids. Seven people gave their lives to Christ, including a guy who heard me preach from the local bar. God is good.
Week two was spent in the Tirena Indian village of Sidrolandia and Agua Azul. We spent the week going to different churches preaching and praying for people. It was a little frustrating because no one goes anywhere or does anything if it rains. It rained the last two nights we were there, so no one went to the churches we were going to preach at!

We have been back in Curitiba for just over two weeks now. One cool thing we have been doing is working with an Evangelical Church. Sherry Robinette hooked us up with her English friend, Patrick, who is the pastor of the church and started a project there. Patrick runs a shelter for single moms, who are mostly in their teens. The church also runs after (and before) school programs for children in the area. We have been working with the children, doing construction work, fixing their basketball court (which seems like it would be an easy task, but not so in Brazil!), and just about anything else they want us to do. We will be performing some songs, skits, and a testimony at Patrick’s church this Sunday.
On the next blog I will post more information about Patrick’s ministry, including his website so you can check it out, pray for them and support financially if you feel led.

Thank you guys so much for praying for us. It is definitely needed and can be felt! We miss everyone, and we especially miss Burnout.
Please pray for our last two weeks:
Fruitfulness
We are going to be going to some schools this week to preach/ perform
Team unity
Joy
Etc.

Thank you so much and God bless all of you.
