Back in the swing of things!

Greetings from the big island of Hawaii!

Lisa and I have been back in Kailua-Kona for three weeks now. We have had some trials but there is so much peace for us here. We know that we are in the right place. The DTS we are staffing starts in 4 days! We have been busy going to trainings, preparing for the DTS, and getting to know the team we will be working with. We are so excited to meet the students that we have been praying for. Many of them are super hungry for Jesus and we just know that God is going to do some amazing things in their lives!

It is an honor and privilege to work with the Asia Pacific (A-Pac) DTS (above is a picture of our A-Pac family). The leaders, Ben and Ali, are kiwis (New Zealanders) who have been with YWAM since the mid-80’s. They are full of wisdom and experience and Lisa and I are enjoying learning from them. Ben goes around the world teaching on the Father heart of God, which is his area of expertise. Because of this, and the fact that Ben is Samoan, the A-Pac team has a warm family feel to it. It is an encouraging and loving place to grow in the Lord Jesus Christ and to do a DTS, so come join us next April in Kona or Auckland (a not so shameless plug)!

For the outreach portion of DTS we will get to lead a team to…….. French Polynesia! We are so excited. It will be a big challenge coordinating things, establishing contacts, learning some French, leading people, etc., but we are up to the task. Part of the work is that we will help to re-establish a base that YWAM has in French Polynesia. It is one of the most beautiful places on the earth, but at the same time there is so much brokenness, drug abuse, spousal abuse and divisiveness in the church. As my Aunt once told me, "Everywhere needs Jesus."

Pray with us as we prepare for the students' arrival and as we plan our outreach.

1) For the students to arrive safely.
2) For a deeper hunger for God.
3) For unbelief to be uprooted from our hearts.
4) For Jesus to bless and protect our marriage.
5) For wisdom as we step into a position of leadership.
6) For our fundraising.

Thank you and all and God bless.

Morgan and Lisa
