What Now?

Hebrews 11 verses: 14People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

So Lisa is due in January, we are done with the DTS, we have been going strong for over a year. It would make sense for us to go home, spend time with family, have the baby, and try to raise some prayer and financial support, but God said to stay put in Hawaii and made it very clear. I was praying one day about whether or not we should go home and I felt God direct me to the book of Hebrews chapter 11 verses 13-16. I don’t believe it could be any clearer than that!
So then what will we do until April when the next DTS starts? We will be working for the next few months with the Foundations School. What is the Foundations School? When married couple come and do a DTS and they have kids, their kids will go through Foundations School. It is basically a Discipleship Training School for children. Each week the students will come work on their regular schooling, and then we will cover a topic that their parents will be learning in their DTS. Topics such as: hearing God’s voice, the Father heart of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, etc. will all be covered. On top of that Lisa and I can cover any topic we feel needs to be addressed. For example, if we feel the students need to learn about their identity in Christ (what God created each of us uniquely for), we can do it.
After our last DTS Lisa and I were convicted about not being more specific with prayer requests. This time around we want to have our students and co-workers covered in prayer. Please pray for us and for our students. We will provide a list of each student’s name and needs as we go.
Lisa and I are responsible for teaching 6 to 8 year-olds. Two of which have special needs. One student is 8 but has the mental ability of a 4 year-old. Another student, age 7, refuses to eat breakfast, lunch, and even snacks. We have no idea why. Pray that Jesus would gently uncover the root of this problem.
Our students are Torin, Keira, Katie, Benjamin, Marcus, and Kaleb.

Thank you all so much for praying for us. We appreciate your continued support.

Personally, we long to come home, especially as we prepare to have our boy. But God is clear, and we trust that He knows best.

Also, please continue to pray that all of our support comes in as everyone in YWAM has to raise their own support.

God bless you all,

PS We would love to hear from you. If you have a prayer request or anything, please drop us a line and we would love to pray for you or just hear about how you are doing.
