Miracle Needed!

Hello all,
Have you ever needed a miracle? Well, Lisa and I need just that! Before we left Hawaii we felt like God said, "Go home and I will let you know when it is time to leave." Well, sadly we feel like it is time to leave!  We will be heading back to Hawaii, but first...
We will head to New Zealand to attend a YWAM school entitled Family Ministries School (FMS). The school starts January 21st! We literally just got accepted a couple of days ago, and now we need the money and plane tickets to go!

About the FMS: FMS is a 12 week lecture followed by an optional outreach (as of now we only plan on doing the lecture). The course covers a variety of topics such as: marriage, pre-marital counseling, child development and child raising, how to counsel married couples, grief counseling, and functioning as a family in ministry.  We are very excited about this course as we see it as an opportunity to gain skills that will help us prepare for a lifetime of ministry.

In April we will head to back to Kona, just in time to help lead a Discipleship Training School and a Bible Core Course with our ship equipped ministry!

Did I forget to mention that the school starts JANUARY 19th?! That is less than three weeks away! What we need: Tuition: $8,300; Airfare: $1,500-2,000 (x3); Travel Insurance: $420 for the three months.  Grand total we will need $13,000-14,000.

If you would like to partner with us financially toward the FMS, or support us monthly, you can go here to  make a tax deductible donation:

Also, if you have any air mileage you would be willing donate, or you want to buy our tickets, please give us a call or email us at: lilkeach@gmail.com

Prayer:
Please pray about giving money towards the FMS.
For all of our needed finances to come in.
Airfare has been super expensive, so for a miracle there.
For God's blessing on the remainder of our time home.

We have seen Gods provision in incredible ways the past three years, but this is a stretching one for us! Let's believe God for amazing things.

Thank you so much for all of your prayers and support. We are blessed!

Colossians 3:17: Whatever you do in word or deed do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to the Father through him.

December 2013

Merry Christmas!
Our ship entering the harbor in Kona and being greeted by a traditional Hawaiian vessel!

Update: The last month has been very busy.  We got to participate in Kings Harbor Church's "What in the World", or "What..." as they call it.  "What..." is a weekend where the church brings attention to its missionaries serving abroad, and to issues that we face in the South Bay of Los Angeles.  It was so cool to see the different ministries birthed out of this church.  From the Barnards that just departed to India to work with Wycliffe to the Velasquez family that minister to surfers in Puerto Escondido ( I was privileged to serve alongside them years ago.. it is a dark place, but God is moving powerfully through their ministry).  There are also three families that serve in the Middle East/North Africa!  What a privilege to be a part of that amazing weekend.  I was truly humbled to be a part of it, and share about YWAM and our ship equipped ministry.
Unfortunately, Lisa and Samuel couldn't attend because they were ill.  In fact, we have been battling illness for the past month.  Please pray for us!

The many islands of Kirabati!
Ship Ministry: Our sailboat is currently dry docked in Honolulu in preparation for its deployment to Micronesia.  The ship will be deployed late December to Christmas Island, which is part of the chain of islands called Kiribati.  The ship will host and transport teams to various islands in the Kiribati island range.  The teams will provide medical, dental, and vision care.  Our Discipleship Training School will send teams to do evangelism on the islands, and our Bible Core Course will send teams to run seminars for pastors.  The bible seminars are something the islanders are often very excited about!  My friend Jonathan often goes to Papua New Guinea to run seminars for pastors and since he is a bible teacher the people elevate him above anyone doing medical clinics, or even the boat captain!  The people are hungry for the Word of God, and we are privileged to bring it to them, on top of all of our other services.

Samuel the hippy enjoying Torrance Beach... it's not Hawaii but it will do!
Preparations: Lisa, Samuel and I are excited to get back to Hawaii.  When are we going back?  It is hard because we want to be with our families, but we feel the pull back to the islands.  We have some clarity about our next step, but are waiting on some things to fall into place before we make a formal announcement.  We should be making a proper announcement about what we are doing in the next week or so, hopefully!

Prayer:
Praise report!  Rita, Lisa's mom, has been showing signs of improvement.  She has a form of leukemia, but it has been showing signs of going into remission.  Pray that it goes away completely!
For our family to get the rest we need before heading back out.
For God to speak clearly to us as we seek Him for direction.
4)  For our ship and crew as they head out into Micronesia.

Thanks so much. We appreciate all of the love, support, and prayers! We are blessed to be a part of God's family, and to be a part of what Jesus is doing in the nations.
