Carrying On

Samuel's friends praying for him on his B-day

Hello Everyone,

s/y Hawaii Aloha in land fill
Ministry: We are dealing with the aftermath of the our vessel capsizing and running a ground, and the loss of our crew member Aaron Bremner. Pray for us as we grieve the loss of our friend, and as we move forward as a ministry. I have been trying to reach out to a few of the guys that knew him best. Pray that I would get the opportunity to counsel and be there for some of these young guys  that hurting pretty bad over this.
Check out ywamships.net , Aaron's parents wanted to set up a memorial fund in his name for us to get a new boat. Also check out this link to read the West Hawaii Today article, and to see how they dismantled the boat. http://m.westhawaiitoday.com/community-bulletin/kona-sailboat-salvage-prompts-new-insurance-policy-boaters

Family: We recently moved from the ministry base to government housing next to the main YWAM campus. The campus acquired the housing. It consists of 120 or apartments. Half will go to YWAM workers and the other half to people in the community. It is an incredible opportunity to live and reach out to some of the people here that our boats are trying to reach out to in Micronesia. Sometimes we look at our windows ad we think we have been transported to another country... smokey barbeques going, naked boys playing in the drive, people speaking different languages. It is awesome! Pray that we get opportunities to be a light and a witness in this community, and that we make good connections with our new neighbors.
Samuel: Turned 3 last week! We had a birthday party for him on Saturday, it was a rocking good time.
Sammy wanted a shave ice for his b-day!
He also started pre-school last week! He loves dancing, singing, and jumping around during the morning worship times! But he has expressed concerns that they aren't doing a lot of numbers and letters.
He is so much fun, we love him and are proud of him. Pray that he has a smooth transition into preschool, and that he doesn't get sick (he is starting to).

Baby boy: Lisa recently flew to Oahu to have a special ultrasound to check babies heart. All looks good. Lisa will not have to return to Oahu again, and we are scheduled for a c-section on April 9th (the same day our students are to arrive for April quarter!). He is a healthy and active baby boy! We are getting very excitred for his arrival. We are still praying about a name, if you have any thoughts, suggestions, or want to practice hearing God's voice... feel free to send us an e-mail with suggestions, thoughts, or ideas.

Thank you so much for all of your prayers and support. It has been amazing to see how God  has provided for all of our needs in the past few months (and years). We know that has a lot to do with your prayers, and generosity.
